How does it work?

Fresno is distributed as a Docker image that you may run in your own data center or on a vendor's cloud platform. Current versions utilize the PostgreSQL database for storage of configuration information and to track the status of EDI messages.

Client applications interact with the system using a REST API to exchange "inbound" EDI (X12 or EDIFACT) interchanges for XML or "outbound" XML interchanges for EDI (X12 or EDIFACT).

How do I run the software?

The simplest way to run Fresno is using Docker with docker-compose. This is the preferred way to start the application and allows for simple configuration and a quick start.

What is the license?

Fresno is released under the terms of an End User License Agreement (EULA) available here.

Can I use my own database?

Current versions of Fresno are tested and verified with the PostgreSQL database. If you have requirements to use a different database vendor, please contact us to discuss the details.
